Advantech Wireless is seeking dynamic candidates for the role of System Validation Engineer. In this position, the incumbent plays a crucial role in the product development process and contributes to bringing product quality upstream to ensure releases are meeting specifications. The incumbent will work closely with product line management to understand product requirements and functionalities, as well as software designers in order to design efficient and effective test cases.

Role & responsibilities

• Develop testing strategies to validate one or more new features added to the product.
• Minimize testing effort for regression testing as well as new features by the use of automated test tools.
• Execute the test cases for the integration of new features as well as for the regression of the product.
• Capture test data.
• Ensure traceability between test cases and requirements.
• Document issues found in the test execution.
• Participate in the design, maintenance and improvement of test environments.
• Participate to the planning of test’s efforts.
• Participate to the revision of product specifications.
• Participate to the continuous improvement of test processes.
• Multiplex between Validation, Customer Service and Integration and Test.

Qualifications

• Good knowledge of the following standards, protocols and tools (Pure Load, DVB-S, DVB-S2, VoIP, TCP/IP, QoS, DVB-RCS, SIP, ATM, MPEG).
• Bachelors degree in applied engineering and /or computer science
• Minimum of 5 years experience in software/System Test.
• Test experience in development of commercial software.
• The candidate must demonstrate good communication and leadership skills.
• The candidate must be autonomous, highly organized and detail oriented.
• Bilingual (French and English).
