Overview
Advantech Satellite Networks S4120 VSAT terminals are DVB-RCS compliant. The S4120 design is derived from the S4100 with the addition of DVB-S2 ACM/VCM capability. They are optimized to achieve high-performance and quick response time for professional, enterprise and governmental applications in an economical fashion. The terminal has been designed with all key IP features to fulfill all the needs of an enterprise. The attractive design and small form-factor make it ideal as a cost-effective, desktop high-speed solution.
Thousands of the S4120 VSAT terminals can populate a DVB-RCS compliant hub in a teleport. The DVB-RCS compliance allows for other vendor’s terminals to interoperate with the SatNet DVB-RCS terminals in the same network or with other vendor’s hubs. The S4120 offers powerful connectivity directly to the LAN/WAN environment or directly to a host computer. A truly professional solution, it is an out-of-the-box, ready-to-go, cost-effective broadband solution for SOHO & Enterprise use. As a replacement for a cable or DSL connection, as a backup solution to provide continuity of operations or to provide broadband to remote regions, the S4120 performance provides bandwidth-on-demand. Designed to support unicast or broadcast traffic up to 36 Mbps
on the forward link (hub to remote terminal), with the choice of standardized DVB-S2 (CCM, VCM, ACM) or DVB-S transmissions, and up to 6 Mbps transmission on the return link (remote terminal to hub) the S4120 is ideally suited for all business needs.
