• Advanced Radio and Digital Signal Processing including
integrated True XPICTM
Up tp 800 Mbps over-the-air throughput for single IDU
configurations and 1600 Mbps over-the-air throughput for
coupled IDU configurations. Built in True XPICTM with Co-
Channel Dual Polarization.
• True Adaptive Coding and Modulation (True ACMTM)
Transcend 800XP automatically adjusts coding and
modulation rates, without any payload error, to changing
environmental conditions. This allows for sustained
availability at overall higher capacity.
• High speed IP traffic – Gigabit Routing and Switching
Transcend 800XP includes a full featured built-in Layer 2
Gigabit Swich and Layer 3 Gigabit router. High Speed IP
traffic is scalable up to Gbps with low latency.
• Broadcast capabilities built-in
Transcend 800XP carries MPEG data carried directly from
broadcast equipment through integrated DVB-ASI interfaces
over the microwave link. The DVB-ASI interfaces support
standard definition, high definition, and Digital 3D broadcast
applications

 Overview


The Transcend 800XP with integrated 10/100/1000BaseT switch,
10/100/1000BaseT router and optional support for up to 4 x STM-
1/OC-3, STM4/OC-12, 3 x E3/DS3, 84 x E1/T1s, and 4 x DVB-ASI is
the ideal carrier grade IP, TDM, and Broadcast microwave radio.
Transcend 800XP is the low cost high capacity, high performance,
and flexible solution to demanding transmission, telecom, and
broadcast applications including backhauling 3G/4G traffic and
Wireless Broadband Networks such as WiMAX, Metro WiFi, UMTS
TDD, and private communication networks carrying data, voice, and
high definition video.
Transcend 800XP’s built in True XPICTM digital signal processor
doubles available capacity by supporting two carriers with vertical
and horizontal polarizations in the same bandwidth. The channel reuse
capability provides the greatest capacity possible within any
given available bandwidth.
Transcend 800XP also offers True Adaptive Coding and
ModulationTM which dynamically and seamlessly adapts coding and
modulation to path propagation conditions. The result is higher
availability, smaller antennas, and longer hop distances.
Transcend 800XP can be flexibly configured as a narrow band or
wide band IP, TDM, Broadcast, or mixed transport stream radio.
Modulation and data throughput are programmable from QPSK to
256 QAM or up to 800 Mbps for a single carrier. Operators can
provision traffic capacity based on priority or dynamically change it
to provide maximum throughput. Provisioning can be based on CoS
priorities or QoS for VoIP traffic and is fully compatible with triple
play to combine voice (Abis or VoIP) with GPRS and video services.
Maximized radio flexibility is achieved by supporting within a single
compact chassis multiple redundancy and diversity schemes
including hitless and errorless hot standby, space diversity,
frequency diversity, and polarization diversity configurations.
The Transcend 800XP includes a secure Embedded Element
Manager (Web interface, Telnet and SSH) built on open standards.
Advantech Microwave’s optional NetWay Manager is a complete
network management suite compatible with all Advantech’s point-topoint
microwave radios.
