Products: Our intention is to deliver the most appropriate technologies in products that meet and exceed customers’ needs for functionality and reliability, at a competitive price.

Services: To ensure a positive experience for our customers when working with us, we will provide conveniently accessible assistance, both commercial and technical.

To achieve this we employ a Quality Management System across our business that is both compliant with the ISO9001 standard and familiar to each member of our staff. This system is regularly reviewed to ensure that it continues to assist us in achieving our quality objectives, and that we are providing adequate resources to enable this.

Our Corporate Management Team

David Gelerman
Founder, Chief Executive Officer & Chairman of the Board of Directors

Mr. David Gelerman founded Advantech Wireless in 1988, serving initially as President and, since March 2006, as Chief Executive Officer. Prior to founding the Company, Mr. Gelerman has held various positions at Nortel Networks, including Manager of the Transmission Networks Division, where he managed and supervised teams which developed several key Point-to-Point (P2P) radio systems. Mr. Gelerman holds a Master’s of Science degree in Electrical Engineering (MSEE), specializing in Wireless Communications and Broadcasting from the Moscow Institute of Telecommunications.

Steven Rady
Vice-President, Finance

Mr. Rady brings over 20 years of experience in accounting, finance and contract administration. Prior to Advantech, Mr. Rady held various Finance Management positions with Spar Aerospace, EMS Technologies, Paramax Electronics and Bombardier. Most recently, Mr. Rady held positions as Director of Finance and as Commercial Director at Advantech Satellite Networks. Mr. Rady graduated from Concordia University with a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce.

Cristi Damian
Vice-President, Operations

Mr. Damian joined Advantech Wireless in 1995 where he held various leading positions in Operations and customer support. Prior to Advantech Wireless, he acquired experience as a hardware engineer in various high-tech companies. Mr. Damian holds a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Concordia University.

Igor Perlitch
Chief Technical Officer

Mr. Perlitch joined the Company in 1997 and is responsible for all new and existing hardware and software development platforms for Advantech Wireless. He has extensive knowledge and experience in research and development of wireless, satellite, video, PDH/SDH and IP based communication technology. In his prior experience he developed many transceiver and media access devices for multi-terminal systems and local area networks, radio channel networks, radio-modem as well as microcontroller devices. Mr. Perlitch holds a Masters of Science degree in Electrical Engineering (MSEE) (1979) from the Kiev International University of Civil Aviation.

Stella Gelerman
Vice-President, Administration and Human Resources & Member of the Board of Directors

Mrs. Gelerman joined the Company in 1995 and is responsible for developing and directing the Human Resources strategies, the HR activities, including career development and the overall well being of the employees. Mrs. Gelerman has been instrumental in bringing together outstanding teams throughout the Company. Previous to her work at Advantech Wireless, Mrs. Gelerman has owned and successfully operated a retail business. Mrs. Gelerman holds a Master’s degree in Economics, obtained at the Moscow Institute of Telecommunications.

Pierre Cardinal
Vice-President, Global Sales

Mr. Cardinal joined the company in 2011 as Vice-President, Sales North America and was rapidly promoted to Vice-President, Global Sales. Pierre started his career in telecoms as Sales Manager for Teleglobe.  He also held senior management positions at Sprint Canada, Cisco, Colubris (currently HP ProCurve) and more recently at SR Telecom. In these capacities Pierre managed national and international sales teams, opened new markets and build-up sales channel, negotiated multi-million dollar agreements directly with Tier 1 carriers, corporations and government agencies and worked closely with R&D and manufacturing to launched OEM products for government agencies and international corporations.

Mark Lambert
Managing Director-Europe & Middle East/ Africa (EMEA)

Mr. Lambert joined the company in 2002 and was appointed Managing Director of Europe, Middle East and Africa in 2005. Mr. Lambert is responsible for our European operations as well as for directing our worldwide marketing campaigns. Mr. Lambert holds a Masters Degree of Science in Electrical Engineering and MBA degrees.

Alain Laplante
Corporate & General Counsel

Mr. Laplante joined the Company as Corporate and General Counsel in 2006. Prior to joining Advantech Wireless, Mr. Laplante held the positions of Director, Commercial Services with Rolls-Royce and General Counsel of Transat A.T. Mr. Laplante graduated from University of Montreal where he was granted a License in Law (L.L.L.). He holds a degree in Public Relations from the management department of McGill University.

Memberships

Advantech Wireless is a founding member of the World Teleport Association’s (WTA) new Technology Discount Centre. The WTA has established the Technology Discount Centre to give its members cost effective access to leading edge satellite communication solutions. Since 1985, the World Teleport Association has focused on improving the business of satellite communications from the ground up. At the core of its membership are the world’s most innovative operators of teleports, from independents to multinationals, niche service providers to global carriers. WTA is dedicated to advocating for the interests of teleport operators in the global telecommunications market and promoting excellence in teleport business practice, technology and operations. Advantech Wireless is a proud member of the DVB Organization. The Digital Video Broadcasting (DVB) Project is an industry-led consortium of around 230 broadcasters, manufacturers, network operators, software developers, regulatory bodies and others in over 35 countries committed to designing open interoperable standards for the global delivery of digital media and broadcast services.

In 1991, broadcasters, equipment manufacturers and regulatory bodies in Europe came together to discuss the formation of a group that would oversee the introduction of digital TV. A consensus-based framework and Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) were drawn up and signed in 1993, setting out the basis on which competitors in the marketplace would come together in a spirit of trust and mutual respect.
